PRESCHOOL ACCREDITATION

INTRODUCTION / OVERVIEW

The early years of children are critical learning years, and qualified early childhood professionals accelerate how our children learn, develop, and build the skills needed to get along with others and succeed in school as well as in life. All class I-XII schools in India boast state, national and/or international exam/education board affiliation. However, preschools countrywide are notrequired to affiliate themselves with any board or accreditation authority that can certify their curriculums, child safety, and other standards. This lacuna in early childhood care and education (ECCE) needs to be filled through the creation of preschool
affiliation. Preschool accreditation is a voluntary process that is designed to improve the quality of preschool programs. A preschool that is accredited is guaranteed to offer its students a high level of care in a cheerful, academic environment.
Preschool affiliation and/or accreditation boards are urgently required for this vital issue for discussion at this conference. It’s in the national interest that all preschools — private and government – induct youngest children into education in conducive environments that promote joyous and voluntary learning.

The solution to ensuring quality learning is not only government regulation but affiliation boards established by independent associations, universities and/or boards comprising ECCE experts and professionals who will ensure that affiliated preschools provide our youngest children safe, nurturing and excellent age-appropriate early childhood learning which is the foundation block of all learning Institute an effective quality regulation or accreditation system for early childhood care and education, which covers preschool education across private, public and voluntary sectors to ensure compliance with quality standards and prerequisites for developmentally appropriate practices in these critical years. All stakeholders – policymakers, teachers, parents, and others – need to understand why and how young children’s learning needs are different from what formal education provides, and why meeting these needs is critical to establishing a solid foundation for lifelong learning and development.
Academically, accreditation means that the school is meeting the highest possible standards with teachers who have met all of their educational requirements and who are continuing to train in the subject area. Also, groups that offer accreditation require preschools to meet standards that are greater than state regulatory requirements. For a long time, more common in junior and senior high schools and colleges, accreditations becoming more popular in early childhood education. This is mostly because accreditation ensures that certain quality standards are met in these places.
