The NCEA has a very dynamic national existence, but its real vitality lies in the Chapters across the nation and, increasingly, around the world. In an annual conference, Chapters take many forms while representing their members and putting on programs. In a practice modeled after distance learning itself, Chapters will themselves absorb technology in order to complete their goals & mission across their local areas. Chapter members enjoy the same advantages as National members, via their Chapter membership
NCEA is affiliated with other distance learning groups – especially in Europe, Asia, and Australia – but much of the world, especially the developing world, is not represented by a national or regional distance learning organization. Educators in these areas are invited to join us as a planetary member and are able to participate in any of our NCEA activities. Learning from a community “broader than your own,” it is a community not only on the local level but one that also spans Brine and abstinent!
