EVENTS AND AWARDS
INTRODUCTION / OVERVIEW
NCEA members host a range of events from International Regional Conferences, Leadership and Presidents’ Summits, and many other renowned Conferences. These events facilitate for the international, timely, exchange of knowledge and expertise among educational leaders, practitioners, researchers, and Academics.
NCEA partners and collaborates with stakeholders to convey quality events. From promotion, supporting content creation, sourcing speakers
or delivering events from concept to completion.
WORKSHOP & SEMINAR
NCEA has a longstanding tradition of honoring and recognizing excellence and distinguished service.
A Pre-conference Workshop, entitled “Exploring Your Family History” will be offered twice – once on Thursday afternoon and again on Friday morning, giving attendees access to a genealogical library that is the largest of its kind in the world. For those attending the Accreditation Conference or the Mentor and Evaluator Training, we invite you to arrive on Thursday for the Thursday afternoon session. For those attending the Annual Conference, we invite you participation in this workshop on Friday morning.
A biennial conference and General Assembly in years ending in an odd digit. The conference attracts about 200-400 delegates and lasts for 3-4 days. The conference is open to anyone who pays and includes invited and funded keynote speakers. Paper presentations or posters are an an important element of the program.
The forum is restricted to NCEA members and members of other networks, For a is focused and practical.
Funding for attending events:
NCEA members from less developed countries can apply for support from the NCEA development fund to attend the same events.
Bid for hosting events:
Events are hosted by member agencies of NCEA. There are three basic steps to completing the application, review, and final selection process. The first step is submission of a brief preliminary proposal to the NCEA Secretariat expressing an interest in hosting either the event; the second step is the submission of a full application which responds in detail to all requirements needed; and the third and final step is the presentation of the final set of accepted applications to the NCEA voting membership at the General Assembly meeting.
The mission of NCEA is to maximize the potential to exchange academic and professional experience, to promote effective navigation in the field, and improve the quality and depth of information available to the sectors concerned.
